My son started daycare when he was 3 months old. It is very hard to leave him every day to go to work but what makes it easier is the fact that we LOVE Skipwith Academy! When I pick my son up in the evenings he is happy which makes me feel better because I know he is getting excellent care. The teachers & staff are very sweet and friendly. I like the fact that they fill out a daily report sheet and everything your child does is documented for the day. I also like how the teachers do finger painting with the infants and other fun stuff so the children are learning & being creative as well as playing. When your child goes to daycare as a parent you are putting your trust in others to make sure your child is safe & well taken care of and Skipwith Academy does an excellent job of this!

I have been meaning to reach out to say that I had the privilege of overhearing your bus driver greeting students as the boarded the bus this week. He greeted each child with such warmth and enthusiasm, as if he was driving some little celebrities. I believe that a true sign of integrity is how one treats children when they don’t know anyone is watching, and it is wonderful to know that there are people who work at Skipwith Huguenot who show such genuine care and compassion for the children. Skipwith Academy at Huguenot has been taking care of my family for 4 years, from infant through pre-k. We love all of the staff there as they have helped our children grow through many phases. The staff are caring and attentive. The facility is clean and caters to a learning and fun environment. The director/assistant director are great with communication and take great care of the children in the classrooms, too!

Skipwith Academy at Huguenot was our family's first experience with daycare and they were great! Our infant daughter was in the care for only a few months, but she thrived when she was there! They communicated with us frequently, and sent pictures and updates about her activities throughout the day. Everyone - not just her teachers - knew her name and greeted us when we arrived in the morning. We left simply because a spot in a center closer to us opened up, but we were very sad to leave and we miss the teachers! Highly recommend.

No other daycare in the Richmond/Tri-Cities area should even be considered. And, as a current father of 7, I know a bit about what I'm speaking on. lol. But in all seriousness, give them a call, set up a tour, and you will not be disappointed. That's all it took for my family. Meet the ever-caring staff, observe how they operate (beautifully: the kids LOVE them), and you'll soon be writing a review similar to mine. 5 stars all the way.
