As first time parents nothing is more important than the knowledge that our child is being taken care of and is happy. The Director and teachers at Skipwith Academy have welcomed my son, my husband and I with open arms and treated us as family. Robert enjoys his time with his teachers along with the other children and has a big smile on his face when we arrive every morning, which is reassuring for us. The artwork and pictures that are sent home with him allow us to see that he is developing the instructional, emotional and socialization skills necessary to achieve his developmental milestones in life. We have been members of the Skipwith family for over 3 years, having a child go from the Infant Program up to Prep, and two more in the Infant program today. We have been blessed with Teachers along the way that have cared for and loved on our children as if they were their own. This location has a great leadership team. Both the Director and Assistant Director are attentive to the needs of the staff, especially when emergencies arise. They’re also willing to lend a helping hand when need be and have created a nurturing and fun learning environment for the children. The curriculum gives you the opportunity to modify and differentiate lessons to meet the academic and developmental needs of the students and is a play-based model.
