Kim – Lauderdale Square

By April 2, 2019

I have a son that attends Skipwith at Wellesley. He just turned 5 and Skipwith Acacemy has been his second home since he was 4 months old. I remember the first time he had to change rooms. He was moving from Infant 1 to Infant 2. I was so worried that his new teachers would not take care of him like his Infant 1 teachers did. To my surprise – Ms. Heather took care of him just as well or, if not, better. It made me feel so good, because being a working mother; you have this guilt of leaving the most precious thing in your life with someone else all day. But what I have found with Skipwith was that every teacher took him right into their class, their day, their life and their hearts. It is amazing. It does not matter what time of day you walk through the door, every one that you pass by is always greeting you good morning or good evening. Teachers that he never even had call him by name and ask how he is doing that day. I cannot tell you how friendly, kind and caring everyone is at Skipwith. Because of that, I know that my son is being taken care of when I am not with him. It is really nice to know that at Skipwith, teachers are not there just to do a job, but to really take the time to help my child develop in every way. We are looking forward to big boy school and I know our son will be ready because of all the teachers that he has had along the way. Now you know why I feel that Skipwith Academy is my son’s second home!
